Septic tank manufacturers permit files, 1985-[ongoing].

No septic tank is permitted to be installed unless it is obtained from a manufacturer whose tanks have been inspected and approved jointly by the state and county health departments (AAC, 420-3-1-.25). This series consists of septic tank plans submitted by various manufacturers showing company name, owner's name, mailing address, telephone number, and structural specifications such as dimensions, baffle walls, access manholes, inlet and outlet holes, and reinforcement material. Also found in these files are periodic inspection reports conducted by public health personnel on septic tank manufacturers, list of permitted manufacturers and approved tank series, and correspondence.
